Wedding on the Way to Puno

Being such a party group, the bus driver, taking us from the Bolivian-Peruvian Border to Puno, proposed all of us to have a small stop at a local wedding party. There you are 6 Polish, some 6 Germans, me and 3 guys from unknown countries entering the party. Crazy view. Happy drunk people, dancing, falling down, getting up, dancing :D Seeing foreign people, everyone invited us for dancing, being so happy to share the happy moments with us.

The Groom: De donde estan? (Where are you from?)
Cristina: Moldova
The Groom: Que? Croatia? ( What? Croatia?)
Cristina: No, no, Moldova.
The Groom: Que dice? Croatia (What are you saying? Croatia)
Impossible to quarrel with the groom.
Cristina: Yes, Croatia.
The Groom: Yeaaaah.
So he dedicated a song for his new Croatian friends and followed us to the bus, explaining all the German-Polish bus how happy he was that Croatian friends stopped by to celebrate this big day with them.

We laughed like hell once the bus started.

Christmas: Titicaca Lake, Incas

"The Sun Island" was a religious site for the Incas. According to the local legends here is the place of birth of the Inca gods and people. Talking to some locals, I noticed that they still believe in the pagan religion of their ancestors and venerate the sacral sites.

PS: On this table human sacrifices were made in the name of Gods, as you can see, this ritual still takes place :D

On the way to the Bolivian Pampas

If you ever hear Mart saying that he does not like kids, well, there is a proof against it.
It is quite usual to drink freshly squeezed juice from plastic bags :D Our super nice group on the way to the Pampas.

La Paz and its Wonders

Just outside the city one can get lost in the "moon like valley". Tihuanaco, the ancestors of the Incas and Aymara cultures, was one of the most amazing cultures that lived on the southern continent. Cultivators of more than 400 types of potatoes, performers of brain surgeons and readers of stars, Tihuanaco built big pyramids and carved in stones of more than 20 tones.

The end of one of the roasds. We arrived in Salar de Uyuni.

These four pics really represent Bolivia seen by many travelers. A picture next to the Evo Morales president, of whom Bolivians seem to be very proud.
The nice sunrise on the Salar de Uyuni.
Salar de Uyuni - a great place to play with your imagination.
A just a beautiful cactus flower.

Dali´s Desert and Laguna Colorada

These surroundings really made us feel part of Dali´s paintings... In fact, Dali got inspired from this very desert.
